Sponsor and Support Beautify Chula Vista Day 2010
Beautify Chula Vista, the popular neighborhood clean-up event that attracts hundreds of dedicated volunteers, is in need of sponsorship support. This year's eighth annual event, hosted by Mayor Cheryl Cox and the Chula Vista City Council, in collaboration with I Love a Clean San Diego and Allied Waste Services, is scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Sponsorship support of in-kind donations or monetary contributions is vital to the success of the community clean-up effort. Beautify Chula Vista is a program that highlights and promotes neighborhood revitalization. Teams of volunteers are assigned to pick up trash along city streets.
More than 800 volunteers are expected to turn out for this year's event in southwestern Chula Vista. The kick-off location is the Otay Recreation Center at 3554 Main Street, Chula Vista 91911.
Organizers are looking for sponsors to help provide T-shirts and lunch for all volunteers. Names of sponsors will appear on T-shirts, a banner and in news releases to local media.
